Meet Our Instructors
Studio Owner & Instructor
The yoga studio for me is a special nonjudgmental space for everyone to come and heal, connect and practice. I have been working holistically with bodies for the last decade through massage and other alternative therapies. I have been practicing since I was young and got certified as a yoga instructor whilst I traveling through India and Asia. I am a 500hr advanced teacher, also trained in kids yoga, pre and post-natal yoga, Yin and TCM.
I have over 1000 hours of yoga teacher training under my belt to share with our community and with the trainees on my yoga teacher trainings.
I am a hands on teacher, focusing on mindful alignment through adjustments and breath.
My classes are hatha based with a vinyasa flow and are a safe place for you to find a deeper connection with yourself through breath, body and mind.
Ali Barnard is a yoga enthusiast with a passion for self exploration through movement and meditation.
She has been practicing yoga for over eight years, dedicating her personal practice to styles like Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Yin.
Under the guidance of some amazing teachers, Ali recently expanded on her enthusiasm for yoga, embarking on a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training course with Lauren, specializing in Vinyasa.
Through her teaching, Ali hopes to ignite the same passion she shares for yoga, and it’s holistic benefits, in others.
I am Sabrina Loubser – student, nature and knowledge lover, and yoga teacher. But more than that, I am a yoga enthusiast; I have been fascinated by and obsessed with yoga since it came into my life during a difficult time during my teenage years.
I completed my teacher training with Lauren in 2019 and have taught at the Yoga Studio Ballito ever since, my second home where I learn about and share this beautiful practice with its community. Yoga has been the greatest tool in my life to regulate my nervous system, bring body awareness and enhance my life in every single aspect.
I am deeply grateful to be able to share this practice with others in the hope they may benefit from its incredible magic.
Kerry has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, and completed her 200YTT under the mentor ship of Lauren at The Yoga Studio, initially just to deepen her own practice, but then discovering the joy of teaching and sharing her love of yoga with others.
Kerry’s Vinyasa flow style will allow you to explore the practice of yoga as well as exploring the relationship with yourself, building strength abs flexibility in both the body and the mind.
Her classes are both peaceful and powerful, and will gently guide you to find your strength and to perfect your asanas…. all in your own time, and leaving you feeling present and grounded.
Arial Yoga Instructor
From a young age, yoga intertwined its way in and out of my life. Arriving in its season to help me heal, and then flowing out when it had served its purpose. I have always appreciated and adored the healing affects of yoga, but when I found Aerial yoga is when things really started to happen.
Not only was there a way to incorporate the asanas, flexibility and strength into an aerial dance, but here also was a way to help less experienced or flexible people access more easily the full benefits of yoga. Because the hammock can support each person, it makes it easier to focus on correct alignment, breath work and a calm mind while the body gradually increases its flexibility and ability to maintain each asana correctly.
Aerial Yoga’s rejuvenating effects on the circulatory systems, blissful decompression of the spine and accessibility to everyone makes it an unforgettably wonderful experience for everyone to enjoy, learn and heal from.
Becoming a yoga instructor under the guidance of Lauren has been an absolute privilege. I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher if I tried. To now be able to share my love and knowledge of yoga is ultimate bliss.
Yoga has been in my life for over 10 years, constantly finding its way back to me, even when I didn’t realize I needed it. It has shaped the person I am today and influenced almost every aspect of my life.
I look forward to getting to know you, and am honored to be able to guide you through your yoga.
